Toyota has unveiled features of the long-anticipated Toyota Corolla Hatchback version. The sportier and sleek design, which was recently displayed at the New York International Auto Show has received positive reviews from auto experts.
This version, which has been described as a more athletic and sophisticated model in the Corolla family has a welcoming interior and many comfortable amenities. Here are some of the cool features of the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback:
Engine
The new Corolla Hatchback is targeted at people who want more from a ride; this is why this version is outfitted with a 2.0L cylinder engine that delivers 168 hp. What this means is that it gets more power and more fuel efficiency.
Hi-Tech
Nothing describes the technological features of the Corolla Hatchback as much as ‘fully loaded.’ It keeps you connected with an 8-inch touchscreen and gives you access to the Entune 3.0, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Likewise, with its Wi-Fi ready mode, you stay connected to the world while enjoying a ride. The car also has a wireless charging feature.
Remarkable Safety Features
With the Corolla Hatchback, there is an improved Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 package and this provides safety features such as cyclist detection, Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (detects a pedestrian under low-light conditions), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (helps detect the road’s edge) and Lane Tracing Assist that supports safe driving; especially in traffic congestion and long highway trips.
These safety features are complemented by the Star Safety System, a standard backup camera, an electronic parking brake system and 7 airbags.
Also, the new model has been given a lower and stockier stance; making it a more muscular appearance. The rear lights and LED lights are standard; making the build of the car sportier and ready to run. With a body more rigid than Toyota’s previous compact hatch offering, the car makers believe this will ensure reduced noise and vibration, as well as improved stability and road grip.
What Hasn’t Changed?
If you have mastered Toyota’s traditional controls like the tuning dials, home buttons for touchscreen functions and volume knobs, you can be rest assured that they are still where you last used them as the carmaker has left these functionalities and features intact for the new Corolla Hatchback.
