More Car Buyers Are Coming Online

As a car dealership trying to navigate the huge uncertainties brought about by the COVID 19 pandemic, it is important that you have relevant and up to date data about your customers (car buyers).

This is why we are sharing a few interesting facts we recently observed as regards the behaviour of car buyers in the past couple of weeks.

In the last 2 weeks, there has been a rapid increase in organic visits to our online car marketplace. Another interesting fact we observed is that the increase in visits has gotten to levels higher than what it was in the weeks before the lockdown. The surge in car buyers heading online has played out for top car marketplaces all over the world.

This increase in visits also corresponds with an increase in leads for sellers on our site. That is, more car sellers are getting contacted now than in periods before the lockdown was enforced.

What this means for you as a car dealer is that currently, there is a much higher chance of selling your car online than ever before. We have a few explanations as to why this is so:

  1. More people want to avoid public transportation for hygienic and personal space purposes. So owning personal cars have become a high priority.
  2. Physical movement from dealership-to-dealership (or from shop-to-shop) has become less appealing. This is because movement, in general, is now seen as risky. So browsing cars online has risen as buyers can see more options from the safety of their homes.
  3. Cheki offers affordable car financing. With most of the cars on Cheki available for financing, more car shoppers are using our online platform to access finance in buying their new cars.

What If There’s Another Lockdown?

It is important that you have at least 5 high-quality pictures of each car you have on sale. So that if there’s another lockdown, your business will not be on hold as all your cars will be available to car buyers on your Cheki dealer page.

If you have any questions please send an email to info@cheki.com.ng, call +234-08139859971 or contact your account manager.

Stay safe, Cheki cares.
