Toyota Kenya Acquires Franchise Rights To Sell Suzuki

Toyota Kenya Limited has acquired franchise rights to sell Suzuki across the Country. The franchise to be Known as Suzuki by Toyota Kenya will be situated alongside the main Toyota Franchise and will offer the full Suzuki Range.

The nippy Alto hatch will retail at Ksh 800,00, peppy Swift at Ksh 1.6 million, new Jimny 4×4 at Ksh 2.5 Million, 7 seater Ertiga plus the Vitara Crossover will cost from Ksh. 3 Million. You can find them here.

The Alto will be of Key importance. It has been a resounding success due to its new-found role, as the preferred vehicle in the Taxi Hailing business. The new Jimny has received major accolades due to its quirky but fun nature, tough 4×4 credentials plus its fuel-efficient engines.

The New Vitara, a Kenyan favourite, since 1988 has been part and parcel of the Kenyan motoring furniture, as the first true crossover to enter the market.

Suzuki will be supported by Toyota’s extensive dealer network in the country plus all products to come with a 3 year/100,000-kilometre Warranty. We are not sure whether the CMC Motors will continue to support the Suzuki brand but we will keep tabs for you.

Renault To Launch The New Duster In February

Renault Kenya will launch the next generation Duster crossover this month. The new vehicle has been redesigned from the ground up, with a modern design theme to match the rest of the Renault family.

It is based on the Renault-Nissan 0 Mitsubishi alliance CMF scalable architecture. It ensures chassis stiffness in order to meet the stringent European ENCAP safety ratings plus allow maximum passenger comfort and off-road capabilities.

Inside the cabin looks fresh and vibrant, with the use of two-tone colour schemes enhancing the visual look. The centre console sees the introduction of the tablet-style multimedia display, complete with a navigation system and vehicle dynamics.

It will be powered by a 1.6L petrol engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission and offered in either 4×2 or 4×4 guise.

In terms of safety, it comes with Electronic Stability Control, Anti-Lock Braking System and 6 airbags as standard. We expect that it will be available from this month, with prices starting at about Ksh, 3 Million, complete with a 3 year/100,000 Warranty, whichever comes first.
