2019 Land Rover Discovery Landmark Detailed Review

The Land Rover Discovery has over 70 years Land Rover descent deeply embedded in its DNA. The Landmark derivative simply shows the depth and breadth of the new Discovery.

The Discovery has been the choice of adventurers and families since its arrival at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989. The new Landmark Edition showcases everything that makes it a Discovery. With upgraded standard features and fine design enhancements. 

Design

Taking the well-appointed special edition as a starting point, the Landmark Edition adds the Dynamic Pack. This includes a more purposeful front bumper design and coal black mesh grille and guard vents. similarly, Narvik Black nameplate scripting on the bonnet and tailgate is also joined by unique Landmark badging on the tailgate.

In addition, the exterior is also marked out by a fixed wide roof, front fog lights and signature tail lights. The modern look is completed a thick privacy glass and 20-inch shiny black wheels.

Cabin

The interior is available with a choice of three premium Windsor leather colourways and a contrast micro piping. A silky brushed Aluminium centre console and titanium mesh finishers also set it apart. Moreso, first-class travel experience is enhanced by the 380W Meridian Sound System.

The  Land Rover also has included brand new touch pro duo screen system. This splits the various vehicles functions on the two screens situated on the centre dashboard console.

The Discovery Landmark Edition will be powered exclusively with a powerful 190kW/600Nm 3.0-litre  twin turbo diesel engine. The engine will be paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. 

Its prowess will be controlled by  All-Terrain Progress Control. This system enables the drivers to set and maintain a steady speed and traction in challenging conditions.

Paired to it, the Terrain Response traction management system. This will offer a number of driving modes to the driver. These modes are well designed for tackling challenging ground conditions. Alongside that, it has a class-leading wading depth of 900mm. It also has a 3,500kg towing capacity. Land Rover Discovery delivers an unrivalled breadth of capability.
